Me410s at Schongau, May 1945

Gentlemen,
in Petrick/Stocker: Me210/410 Hornet, p.130 is a photograph showing two derelict Me 410 at Schongau airfield. Both with a second Gruppe bar, one of them carried the Werknummer 410086. Is there any image out there revealing the complete code of those planes?

Cheers,
Christian

P.S. Sorry, no scans. It wasn't my own book.

Christian,
these was the II./ZG 76 plane. So the code should be small M8 and then some number. The number was also applied on the nose. But I cannot recognize it due to the canon barrels as well
Plane was build coded as SU+WZ.

Re: Me410s at Schongau, May 1945

Thanks Peter! I am sure additional photos will show up sometime. I always wondered what those Me 410s were doing at Schongau when the war ended. I saw some old movie stills from Schongau once and if I recall correctly there were at least 2 additional Me 410 visible. The Zerstörer units which they once belonged to had been dissolved partly already in summer 1944. So what did they do there, still in their old markings and seemingly carefully dispersed in the woods?

That would interest me as well.
But to correct you a bit: II./ZG 76 gaveup most of their Me 410s in November 1944. But on photos made during Gallands visit of ex ZG 76, on the day of naming it to III./JG 54 there are still some Me 410s visible in the background. So I assume some were at the unit until late December 1944/ January 1945.
Where the planes were assigned later, and how they got to Schongau is a question.
ANYONE there has some idea?
