Me 262 tactics against B-17 formations
Would I be accurate in thinking that a favourite 262 attack position would have been from the rear and below (the formation of '17s)?

Rear High Alt + Speed to bust through escorts.
Dive at speed to leave escorts in the dust. Come in on bombers from below and behind to burn off excess speed.

In his book "Battle over the Reich," Alfred Price presented the following diagram of a type of German jet attack entitled the "roller coaster" attack. the diagram is from page 181.
