Re: TGr.30
Hi Remi, on 15th-June-2011 I asked if it was known whether Freg.Kap. Breithaupt, Oblt.zurSee Pauli and Fahn Leker were passengers in S3+AL, crew of Fw Hans Buchner, which fell to a N/F near Bastogne on 25-12-1944 (on flight from Guernsey). On 13-2-1945 S3+FH the crew of Fw. Ruckelschel were killed when their Heinkel crashed by La Rochelle, this crew included Bf Ogef. Ernst Westphal. I cannot remember if there was a thread on the S3+FH,

Re: TGr.30
The last mention of supply flights I found was a mention in the Occupation Diary of air activity over Jersey on 13-3-1945. A report dated 15-3-1945 in the German Naval Diary says an aircraft landed in Guernsey bringing in the new Kom. of the 319th. Inf.Div General Maj. Wulf and flying out the previous Kom. Graf von Schmettow. The last NVM I have for TG/30 supply flights is for the crew of Ofw. Oswald taken POWs on 23-2-1945 (along with 3 un-named Russian officers serving in the Wehrmacht), and the last GQM entry is for a He111 10% damaged at Rhein-Main on 12-3-1945.

Re: TGr.30
Last flight to the atlantic-fortress reported on 26.April, seems that after that date, probably due to the undoubted progress of the american army who seems to hv found the over-drive , the planes used /111H 6+20 Lang/
were outranged , nd used therefore to move ammunition from north to south, it has been also suggested to use an airport near Torino ,Salviniano, reducing the travel, but ... Rémi |
