Just thought you guys might be interested in these pictures... A man in South Carolina is almost finished with a new FW-190 build. The link to the story is down below. Enjoy!

Re: FW-190 Build

Gorgeous Matt!

Full size or 3/4 size?

At any rate, have to hide this thread from the hubby, he'd want one, though I have told him and shown him again and again on the web and in books that a warbird handles differently from a '46 J3Cub. Pilots...pfft.

Re: FW-190 Build

That 4 bladed prop looks interesting. My guess it works best with the powerplant they chose.

Re: FW-190 Build

To my knowledge this is a 1:1 build. It's being completed from a Flugwerks kit. The engine and prop are different. There are more pictures of the project in the link below. I know the engine & prop are non-standard... Enjoy!

Re: FW-190 Build

has an air intake under the right wing outboard of the landing gear. Cowling appears to be significantly different. Propeller housing looks like it might be off of a Lavochkin La-5 or 7.

Thanks for sharing.
