RAF Flying Officers Group
Would like to share this group that I purchased just over a year ago from ebay .
I thought I was buying just the tunic and visor cap but when the box arrived, it had everything else included seen here. It's a bit of sad story though because when I asked the seller where it all came from, she told me it was all her Grandad's but she was letting it go because times were hard and she needed the money. I asked for more information about him but never got another reply. It's a real shame that family members have to sell off these kinds of things but we shouldn't judge them. I haven't done much research into Flying Officer John Williams Lewis 621372 apart from finding out he was the son of a very big and well known textile factory owner in Nottingham. Hope you find these interesting. One thing that I found rather special is that his tunic fits me like a glove so we must have been exactly the same build. Cheers Ben |
