Re: He 111 H-6 Identities

Hi Nikita,
is there any known photograph of the He 111 "L5+DB" at Novocherkassk? I just ask because I have never seen this code documented before.

Regards,
Christian

Christian,

My source is report of trophy command that observed captured planes on the abandoned airfields. There are photoes there, but I can not remember this particular He-111 on them and I did not make copies.

Hi Chris, do you dates for W.Nr 4320's service with 2/KG1, and its switch over to III/KG40, which was formed from I/KG1.
I see from my records a number of ex KG1 a/c continued to fly with III/KG40, with the former units V4+ codes still applied, however W.Nr 4320
is not amongst the ones i have!

Any help would be appreciated.

Best regs,
Steve.

Their losses were V4+GL, V4+HH, V4+CH, V4+FH, V4+EL, V4+JL, V4+DK, V4+GK, V4+BH, V4+IH and trhe first recorded used of F8 was not until 9 Aug 41

Re: He 111 H-6 Identities

Hi Chris, thanks for your reply and information.
I have all the losses you give, was looking for any scraps regarding V4+AK W.Nr 4320 service, or crews that may have used this a/c?

Best regs,
Steve.
