Re: Info on 61 ShAP pilot

Hi,

Captain Aleksander Antonowicz CO of a flight of 61 SzAP 291 SzAD of 2nd Air Army. At first he was a pilot of Po-2 plane and was s/d and wounded. He evaded. Then he was posted to SzAP in December 1943. Appointed a flight`s commander on 13.04.44.

Re: Info on 61 ShAP pilot

Robert,
The source that I read has him leading a group of Il-2 of the 61 ShAP at the battle of Kursk in Jul43. So this is the same person?

Re: Info on 61 ShAP pilot

Robert,
I got some information from Evgeny. He confirmed it was the same pilot. The correct name is Aleksandr Antonovich Dobkevich and he was St. Lt. during Kursk with 61 ShAP.
