He70 WL-OBWH

Hi guys

I've read that this aircraft carried out an emergency landing in Switzerland sometime in 1940.

Any information available?

Cheers
Brian

Re: He70 WL-OBWH

Guys

I have a clipping of this crash (bellylanding) stating the it was at Zeithahn near Riesa, which is in Germany. The text states it was used by OKH at the time. No date except 1940 which we already know.

Since I have heard nothing about any forced landing in Switzerland by this aircraft, I am puzzled from where this info originates? Nothing is listed by Ries in his book either, but that one of course is some 30+ years old by now...

Cheers
Stig

Thanks Stig

You've answered the query! Germany not Switzerland.
