Re: Night Fighter Squadron with Blenheim
23, 25, 29, 219, 600, 604 but most were converting to Beaufighters and in any case, none were based at Aston Down (which was not an operational station)

Re: Night Fighter Squadron with Blenheim
Bonjour.
Thank you Chris & Larry. It seem's (I hope) that is the 600 Sqn. The squadron I look for did a Training mission with the 303 sqn. over Sutton Bridge the 30th august 1940. see below, the diary of 303 sqn. 30th Aug. First operation. In the course of a training interception with six Blenheims in the afternoon 'B' Flight contacted with some 60 German bombers, 60 fighters and British fighters having a running battle near Hatfield. F/O Paszkiewicz brought down one Do17 (destroyed) while the rest of the fighters escorted the Blenheims safely back to Northolt. In my previous question I have spoken about Aston Down, because all infos come from a diary of a Free French who was in 5 OTU Aston down. Thank you again
