Re: Lt. Adolf Fuhrmann died 15th december 1938

Hello Barkas,

for the early years there are only monthly summary accident reports for medical evaluation available.

For December 1938 only one deathly wounded pilot is reported. The Bf 109 with code 11+ hit the ground in foggy weather. Where is his grave located?

His name is on little stone "memorial" (many years destroyed and forgoten) close the crashsite in Jeseniky mountain, Czech republic. But the crash came shortly after german ocupation (after Munchen treaty) of this border region.

The nearest fighter group to this location in December 1938 was I./JG 331 based at Mährisch Trübau (Moravská Třebová). The unit became in May 1939 I./JG 77.

May be Lt. Fuhrmann was a pilot of this unit.
