Re: Do 217 in Farnborough

This Do217M-1 was originally coded U5+?? of KG2 and surrendered at Beldringe in Denmark. It was transferred to Farnborough (via Schleswig) on 13th October 1945 and it was allocated Air Ministrty number AM107. Source, "War Prizes" by P.Butler [Midland 1994]. We have a thread on AM107 over on the LEMB here

Cheers

Many thanks,
I find http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww2/b/445/9/0 , there is U5+?? too, but KG 2 disbanded October/November 1944.
So, what unit to the end of war?

Re: Do 217 in Farnborough

It belonged to 2/FAGr Nacht at the time of capture at FlH Odense(Beldringe). So late in the war units often did not bother to repaint aircrafts Vkz.

Re: Do 217 in Farnborough

Thanks again,
you mean Aufklärungsstaffel 2.(F)/Nacht, isn´t it?
2.(F)/Nacht was a part (Staffel) of some Fernaufklarungsgruppe, do you know the FAGr. unit to subodinate?

Re: Do 217 in Farnborough

Hi Barkas.

Yes I mean 2. Staffel. It was written in a hurry. It was under command of FAGr. 4, who with it's subordinated units moved to Odense around 1 of may 1945.
