Which Aufklärungsstaffel?

Could somone please tell which Aufklärungsstaffel that plane (4N+L) belong to.
It was during the Greece campaign activ with a Panzerdivision (?).
BB. was Ltn. Siegfried Hutter

I suspect 4 (H) 22

Re: Which Aufklärungsstaffel?

Seems to 4.(H)/22 - '4N+LM'.

Hi byron,
I agree with thenelm, the code is 4N + LM for 4(H)/ 22, the only H Staffel in this Gruppe.
Best regards
Marc
PS: could you please share the Fieseler fotos ?

Re: Which Aufklärungsstaffel?

Hi,

On all three pics there is no last letter in the code Nr.
Here are the other two Marc:

Those are 3 of the planes (4N+L, 4N+E and 4N+G) in which Ltn. Siegfried Hutter was BO (and) BS.
The emblem of the Staffel was a yellow-coloured smiling devil face. If anyone has in his posession the picture of this emblem, please post it.
An other crew that flew those planes was FF. Ltn. Heiner Rückner with BO. Oblt. Erzberger

Re: Which Aufklärungsstaffel?

Hello,

here a good site for tactical signs:

http://www.absa39-45.com/doku.php?id...agne:mars_2010

here you can have a look for 4N+

Further:

4.(H)/22:
Kozani, 4.41
Athens-Tatoi, 27.4.41 - 10.5.41

Regards
