I do believe you're looking for P/O (Nav) D.J. PERDUE - RAF 100048 of 12 Sqn. His Wellington Mk.II serial W5395 was shot down by flak homebound on a raid to Le Havre 1/2-4-1942, and crashed in a wooded area near Ste.Opportune-la-Mare, Seine-et-Maritime, 6 km S of Quillebeuf-sur-Seine. P/O Perdue evaded capture and returned safely in UK 8-9-1942. His five comrades were all taken into captivity. (See: Chorley's Vol.3, page 58).
