Ju 88 WNr 3105

Hi all,

does anyone have any information about Ju 88 WNr 3105 which I believe flew with KG 54?
I'm looking for type, date of acceptance, any damages or forced landings etc..

Thanks in advance,
Rudi.

Re: Ju 88 WNr 3105

Thanks for your answer, Ed. Very much appreciated.

I presume this is the one that Radtke is erroneously quoting as:
Ju 88 A5 - Sep 5 1941 - WNr 3130 - II./KG 54 - Lechfeld - 65 % ?

Regards,
Rudi

Re: Ju 88 WNr 3105

Well, no, but Rathke seem failing knowing this was yet another entry error and a duplicate of report entry No. 89 "v" (I use "v" as "from date") 09.09.41 (that I gave earlier)!

[3105 Ju 88 of IV/KG 54 ~ rep crash 01.09.1941 in LWFLV losses 44v29.09.41; struck out in amd z/26.08.42 <duplicate of 89v09.09.41>]

This 3130 was yet another error (that has this report history!)

3130 Ju 88 A-5 [B3+DY] IV/KG 54 (Luftflotte 3)
Non-OPS (H) engine dam and force landing (20%) at Tours Airfield 19.06.1941 (Uffz. F. Tolke and two crew uninj, BM Obgefr. Franz Neumann killed)

[rep twice in losses: first in 62v23.07.41 <but strike out A1 45v29.09.41: see amd aa/29.08.42>; code fm other source]

[rep in LWFLV losses 45v29.09.41; was struck out in losses aa/30.08.42 <same as 34v05.09.41>]

I hope you understand now (very confusing!)

Re: Ju 88 WNr 3105

According to a Henschel document the date of acceptance (either date of the certificate of acceptance) of the 3105 was on 5 June 1940.

Peter

Re: Ju 88 WNr 3105

Thank you Peter, much appreciated. Although not relevant, according to a document I have Henschel had fininshed (produced) 101 before 01.06.40, so this may possibly mean one did not recive a BA "acceptance certifcate" (Úbernahmurkunde) with HFW but elsewhere? Might this be 3031 known at Dessau in March.

Best regards
ed

Re: Ju 88 WNr 3105

The W-Nr. 3056 crashed before the acceptance on 1 April 1940 near Grünau (Bohnsdorf). Flugkapitän Kirsch an his crew bailed out. Nevertheless this Ju 88 was pro forma "accepted" on 4 September 1940.

Peter
