Unteroffizier Peter Reinhardt

Hello Rick

6 March 1944: Unteroffizier Peter Reinhardt of 6./JG 11 killed in aerial combat with P-47 fighters in Bf 109 G-6 "Yellow 12" (W.Nr. 410 819) south of Quackenbrück, 100%

I have read that this four victory pilot was shot down and killed by Colonel Hubert Zemke of the 56th FG, USAAF but have no idea if this information is correct.

Horrido!

Leo

Target Berlin by Price and Ethell gives in the appendix summarizing all losses by USAAF and Luftwaffe the usual loss data concerning Reinhardt and also points to Zemke´s claim as a possible cause of Reinhardt´s demise..
