Duane W. BEESON (RAF rank)
Hello all,
What best RAF rank was reached by Duane W. BEESON? Also would it be possible to provide info about every single promotion. Best regards Zdenek Kocab |

Re: Duane W. BEESON (RAF rank)
If you trust Wiki, the correct answer is "None", as he was commissioned into the Royal CANADIAN Air Force!
However, he did fly in No. 71 Squadron on Hurricanes (and then Spitfires when he transferred to the USAAF 4th Fighter Group). It seems that he resigned his RCAF commission on 22nd September and was commissioned into the 4th FG the next day, therefore no actual "RAF" time. The lowest commissioned rank in RCAF/RAF was Pilot Officer, I believe, and I can't trace any record in Flight archives to suggest any further promotion. |
