Gudgeon I

Could someone verify the names of 18 Squadron members? As the ORB has been written by hand I would need to check if my interpretation of it is correct. I haven’t got an access to any other database of this Squadron to compare these names. I’ll appreciate your help, guys.

V6038 W/Cdr Partridge , Sgt Dvorjetz , Sgt Davies;
V6425 Sgt Scott, Sgt Suely (?), Sgt Moustalor (?);
V6197 P/O Walkden, P/O Mathews, Sgt Cutler;
V6138 S/Ldr Loe (?), Sgt Stephenson (?), F/Sgt Smith (?);
Z7495 P/O Powner (?), P/O Sounds (?), Sgt Daniels;
V6262 Sgt Rost, Sgt Hughes, Sgt Winter;
V6519 Sgt Jefferson, Sgt Mills , Sgt Buckley;
R3843 Sgt Dunhan , Sgt Adamson , Sgt Harding ;
T2292 Sgt Bartlett, Sgt Williams, Sgt Held (?)

Re: Gudgeon I

I advised on RAFCommands forum to check the CWGC at least for 12 months or so after the dates your interested in. You will find some of the mens names there and suggestions for others.

With a name like Dvorjetz , you can be fairly happy that he is
Sgt G A DVORJETZ died 16/07/1941

I gave you a number of likely names from CWGC, all of whom died with 18 Squadron in 1941, you could at least suggest them in your list as likely candidates.

Re: Gudgeon I

Yes, you're right. That's why I've already made some changes as you probably noticed - when you compare this list with mentioned Forum. I also confronted my list with Chorley's book.
Some of these names are still not clear to me. This is the reason why I'm asking here.
Regards
