Wellington T2873 landed at Sicily 21.11.1940
Hi all,
I would like to ask if anyone could confirm me the real fate of this plane. Its crew was: S/Ldr N. P. Samuels, DFC, F/Lt A. J. Payn, P/O J. C. Watson, W/O C. W. Evans Sgt W. Wynn Passgeners: AM O. T. Boyd, CB, OBE, MC, AFC F/Lt J. F. Leeming All became POW. According to the newpsapers from 1940 it is uncler as there are two possibilities: - navigational error and lack of fuel on way to Malta - navigational error on way to Malta and action of Italian fighter who forced them to land. Which of these possibilities was the real one? TIA Pavel
