Re: Bf 109 G-6 W.Nr. 163683

Hi

I have only an entry with production and acceptance flight on 27. May 1944 at Amberg. The plane was produced by Mtt-Regensburg and wears the SKZ: KM + JC.

Re: Bf 109 G-6 W.Nr. 163683

Hi,

I have the following:

WNr: 163 683: G-6; white 10; 1./ JG 3, Lt. Paul Honle, KIA 21.01.1944, about 11:50 a.m. in a dogfight with P-47 of 356th FG (Lt. Milton Erickson and Lt. Raymond Gansberg) near Gottem (near Gent/ Belgium)

But I´m sorry, I didn´t note the source for this (I think it was somewhere here in this forum)

May be, somebody can confirm.

Hope that helps.

Thomas

Hi JoMe,

Thanks for the information! Interesting. Do you know the source for this information? I guess it is a flight log, but of whom?

Hi Tomas,

That is also interesting. I have the W.Nr. from a photo of a Bf 109 that was photographed at the end of the war, so either I misinterpreted the W.Nr. or there is a mistake in the loss entry of White 10. The W.Nr. is quite clear and I don't think I read it wrongly.

Cheers,
Roger

I'd guess it's the flight log of Paul Bergmann (but he didn't mention the W.Nr.).

Best wishes

I don't (or didn't) have that have that WNr., or that pilot, in my database - missing from the usual sources. Jim P.

Re: Bf 109 G-6 W.Nr. 163683

Hi there,

So, this G-6 made an acceptance flight on "27. May 1944 at Amberg" (JoMe) and was shot down on "21/1/1944" (Thomas). Did I miss something? Explain me please.

Regards, Franck.

JG3 lost a lot of Bf109 around this number in June 44..
