1 Sqn 10 May 40

Can anyone send me an account of the combat early in the morning on 10 May 40 which resulted in Richey, Walker, Brown, Kilmartin & Soper shooting down a Do 17 on the Belgian/Luxembourg border

Chris - don't know if it's any use, but I have the ORB for that, but it won't scan because it's locked. How I can't see. I've copied & saved but still no good.
And I'm too slow a typer to copy it!!

Thanks Tim. It would appear that the Combat Reports have understandably gone awry. If you are interested, I have a photo of the Do 17 after its crash-landing

Re: 1 Sqn 10 May 40

Good morning Chris,

There indeed is no combat report for the 10th of May 1940 in AIR50/1.
But there are No 1 Squadron combat reports for this date in AIR35/253
including the sortie you mention.
If you want me to, I can e-mail you a scan this evening.
Best regards.
Bernard/

Re: 1 Sqn 10 May 40

Bernard,

I would also appreciate a copy of this report. I'll send you my email address via PM.

Chris, would it be possible to also obtain a scan of this a/c? Stab./KG3?

Regards,

Jolly hockeysticks! All this has prompted me to replace my 134 Sqn (Russia) Avatar with my 1 Sqn one.
