I/ZG76 on 15.8.40

Hello: On 15.8.40 I/ZG76 flew it's only mission to NE England during the Battle of Britian as escort to KG26. The losses suffered that day are well known thanks to John Vasco/ Peter Cornwell. If my information is correct, a total of 21 Bf110's flew this mission. To date I've been able to identify approx. 15 of the pilots. I'm wondering if anyone has info. that could help flesh out the names of the remaining pilot's/ crews? The pilots that I know participated so far:
Hptm. Restemeyer
Lt. Loobes
Oblt. Kettling
Oblt. Lent
Lt. Woltersdorf
Fw. Ladwein
Uffz. Richter
Lt. Koehler
Ofw. Groning
Oblt. Gollob
Uffz. Zickler
Obfw. Linke
Oblt. Uellenbeck
Obfw. Schumacher
Oblt. Eckhart
Any help in this matter much appreciated.
Thanks. Dean.

Re: I/ZG76 on 15.8.40

I have a complete list of I/ZG 76 aircrew and would have expected Lt Bender and Ofw Herzog to have been flying but that an any additional names would be guesswork without any other documentary evidence

Re: I/ZG76 on 15.8.40

Understood Chris. I had considered those, as well as possibly Oblt. Walter, Lt. Kamp, Oblt. Bohmel, and Obfw. Schob, based on earlier claims during June and July, but as you stated, this would be purely conjecture without proof. Herbert Schob's log book (or excerpts from it) have been reproduced in other published works, I wonder if it shows anything for that date? In any event, thanks for your comments. Dean.
