Ju 88 bomber crash over Corradino Hill, Paola, Malta
As recalled by my father, a Ju 88 bomber crashed over Corradino Hill, in the town of (at that time known as Casale Paola) Paola in Malta, probably in 1942. At that time my dad was about 15 or 16 years of age. He remembers very well that one of the German crew was decapitated after what most probably was a severe burn on impact with the ground or before. He recalls that the ( totally burnt) head became somehow distanced from the plane's wreckage.
Could any readers out there help out in providing or tell me how to achieve more info regarding this crash and the identities of the plane's crew members ? |
