Major Herbert von Kruska III./KG 4

Hello,

does somebody know something about Major Herbert von Kruska, last Gruppenkommandeur III./KG 4, and his Adjutant Oblt. Wilhelm Bergmann. They should be captured by Red Army in May 1945 and later died as POW.

Every information related to those men is warmly appreciated.

Thanks for help

Michal

Sadly, that neither of them are to be found in the database of Volksbund. To help you further with his fate. Either, they went in Tchechen or Sovjet captivity or were handed over by the Americans to the Sovjets. Thought after long searching by the family of Bergmann, they found out that their son went in captivity in Tchechoslovakia and found his death in Hlavatce/Sobeslav, Kreis Tabor/Sudböhmen. Oberleutnant Wilhelm Bergmann was declared dead on 21 Mai 1970, with effect from 31 December 1945 - 24h.
