any claim for Me210 on 11th February 1944?

Hello

On 11th February 1944, Me210 (Wnr. 0187) of Luftbeob.St. 3 crashed somewhere, so far not known. Its Bordfunker Fw. Karl Schlotter was killed.

Does anyone have a claim of an fighter that day for a Me210 ?

As I am preparing an article about Luftbeob.St. 3 in Venlo, any information is much appreciated! Many thanks in advance.

The 78th FG claimed a Me410 probably destroyed SW Frankfurt - mistakes in ID are possible between the two ships

Hello Mike and Bill (?),

Thanks for responding so fast ! Mike: could you please give me the full title of your book so that I can read it and credit you for the info in it?

To Bill and Mike: do you have combat reports describing the aerial fight with this Me210? Perhaps the details in it gives us any other reference for solving the final fate of this Me210 and crew!

Again many thanks for your kind help, all the best,

Marcel Hogenhuis

Marcel - I suspect Mike's book for the first reference is the same as mine - Kent Miller's "Fighter units and pilots of the 8th AF" published by Schiffer.

My second source is "The pioneer Mustang Group, the 354th FG in WWII" by Steve Blake. Note: in the narratives of this book is also reference to P-38s chasing 109s so I suspect the 20th FG was also in the same target area as the 354th FG

Re: any claim for Me210 on 11th February 1944?

I just found five awards of Me 110's for the 354th FG plus 3 Me 410's plus 3 Me 109s and 2 Fw 190s.

The fight started around 1155 as the bomber force the 354th was escorting were near Frankfurt.. and ranged from all around Frankfurt to Homburg (not Hamburg) where Col Martin shot down and then collided with his victim Me 109 flown by Uffr Reislle 4/JG11.
