RAF Mustang I Guns

The German Bildarchiv at Koblenz held about 10 photos taken from one of the first crashed Mustang I in France. There is no information about the date. One of the photos show the open gunbay in the right wing and there is an interested detail: The belt for the .50BMG is not the normal metall links, it is made a one piece cotton-belt!!!! I know, that the Brownings fit with both types of linking, but in an Airplane?
Any idea for this look like WW I outfit??

Hello ,

I'm far interested about these pictures from the Bundesarchiv , as this Mustang probably went down in my area in Normandy in 1942. I have a scoop about this one , could you confirm it is AG565 with letters AH-B ?
if so I'll grateful if you could contact me off board Hans at :

Thank you ,

Laurent

Hello Hans,

I've another possible 'candidate' for this Mustang. Can you describe the situation on these photographs?

Regards,
Hans Nauta
