HELP!! whats this...a piece of a Short Stirling
Yesterday i found on a crashsite of a Short Stirling a round piece of micaglass with a number in it...I think its 108/7066? The Short Stirling LK209 of 161SQ crashed on 23 Match 1943 on the Dutch island of Vlieland. I hope someone can tell me what it is, en what the number means. |

Re: HELP!! whats this...a piece of a Short Stirling
Well I think it's probably 10B/7066 as most RAF parts are coded this way. The 10B indicates the group the part belongs in and the 7066 will be the individual part number.
This page will help a little http://www.hmvf.co.uk/pdf/RAFPartNumbers.pdf Scroll down to page 4 and then go through where you will find 10B refers to radio/radar items. Hope this helps
