FW 190 losses, 14/3/42

Hi gents,

I'm looking for any losses in combat of FW 190s, on the Channel front, on the date indicated. Any help would be appreciated.

Bruce

Fw 190 losses on 14 March 1942

Hello Bruce

Apparently there were no Fw 190 losses in combat on that date although JG 2 did suffer the following incident:

14 March 1942: Fw 190 A-2 "Black 2" (W.Nr. 0125 250) flown by an unknown pilot of 5./JG 2 suffered 50 % damage at Le Bourget due to tire damage

I hope that this helps.

Horrido!

Leo

Thanks for your responses.

Michal: do you have a time/place for the combat of the JG 26 a/c? Spitfires of 129 Sqn claimed an FW 190 between 1050-1100, 5 miles off Etretat; and S/L KW Truscott, 452 Sqn, claimed another at 1700, 1/2-1 mile off Le Havre.

Bruce,

Unfortunately, Prien doesn´t mention more details in JVF, Caldwell´s JG 26 is without any record to this loss / date.
