Ju 87's hit 天ille de Bruges" Liner May 1940

I've an account from 248 Squadron diary that they watched Ju 87's bomb the "Ville de Bruges" whilst on a patrol.

Could anyone tell me which Luftwaffe unit it was that struck the vessel?

With thanks in advance.

Hi,

on 17.5.40 a He 111P of II./KG4 attacked in afternoon a small ship identified as torpedo boat SE of Vlissingen with 8 SD50 bombs.
A crew of I./KG30 attacked a merchant vessel of Ostend and claimed it as probably destroyed.

Hi,

they were a few attacks (a.m. and p.m.) by I./KG30 and III./KG30 on allied shipping off Ostend on 18.5.40. A Ju 88 of 8./KG30 was shot down by 248 Sqn.
