Bf 110G - what sub-type? - Luftwaffe and Allied Air Forces Discussion Forum

The enclosed photo suppose to show a Bf 110G-2. Can this be confirmed? There are a couple of odd details, which makes me have second thoughts.

I am sorry for the heavy retouching, but the photo is not mine and I did not receive permission to post it on-line as is.

It is an F. The most obvious indicators is the flip up canopy at the rear gunners position and the "L" shaped pitot tube under the wing.

I checked my references, and it appears that the depicted aircraft might be an F-4. However, I found no meaningful information on the G-0 sub-type and the differences between these two sub-types (if any), or between F-4 and early production G-2.
Can anyone assist here?
