Is Jagdleher Überprüf.Gr a fighter pilots training unit and what is its full title please?

Hi Melvin,

this unit is called "Jagdlehrer-Überprüfungsgruppe".
I was in contact with a former pilot
(He was based in france.) of a Jagdlehrer-Überprüfungsgruppe some years ago.
As far as i know, it was a unit to check and
to train fighter instructors. They used german fighters but also "foreign" AC.
As far as i know, they also have been
involved in some missions against allied bomber groups.

There are numerous losses listed for this unit(s) in France in the Schulen loss records.
