Thanks for the links Ed In particular the third one showing a Ju 52 with a triangular marking on the fuselage. There are other photos from the same unit in the auction from when stationed around Paris. There is also a photo of a Fi 156 with the same marking. We have discussed these markings over at LEMB for some time why I've posted the photos of particular interest in this matter as an addition to the ongoing thread there with credit to you finding them. You're welcome. I am aware of the ongoing discussion on the LEMB about this triangular marking. A dedicated Transportstaffel with liaison aircraft seems to be a real possibility here, or the marking was applied to aircraft that were to be pressed into temporary (a few months?) service as a an ad-hoc Transportstaffel unit.

One more idea. What about the triangle that was applied to aircraft slated for infantry ground support, especially fighters? Was this a permanent addition or just temporary? Sometimes the Infantry badge was added as well.
