Face recognition software for Luftwaffe pilot

Hello,

Does anyone have face recognition software capabilities for comparing two different photos of a Luftwaffe pilot to see if they are the same person?

Regards,

Re: Face recognition software for Luftwaffe pilot

Ruy,

I could have been a little clearer in my email subject. The problem is that we have a good full-face photo of a Luftwaffe Bf110 pilot with his tail scoreboard that some of our EOE Working Group members disagree as to whether it is the same person or not from photos of a certain, known pilot's identity documents that we have access to. I know that face recognition software has advanced to the point that we could probably take the photos of this person and run them through the program and have it tell us to what degree of certainty this is the same person or not. I'm hoping that someone on this board might have access to such software that would help us determine definitively whether they are the same person, thereby connecting him to the victory tally on the tail of one of the aircraft that I'm considering for a color profile.

So, who might be able to help with that?

Regards,

Hi.

I do belive there is a free Matlab project that can give such data.

However, I do not have access to Matlab any longer, maybe others on the site do?

The commercial software packages providing mostly access data could also be used I guess, by using one of the photos as the reference and attempting an authentication using the other one.

Regards,
Andreas B
