Fähnrich Kurt Teger, JG 53

Hello,

I'm searching further information about the crash of the above mentioned Fähnrich Kurt Teger, born 21st April 1925 in Berlin, KIA at 7th April 1945 in the near of Gruibingen (Goeppingen, Wuerttemberg).
Unit: Jagd-Geschwader 53
Dog-Tag: -647- 2.Fl.Batl. Hemmer

First time buried in Goeppingen.

Can anyone tell me more about the crash. Accident or airfight? Type of airplane? Verlustmeldung?

Thanks,
Alex

No information about this crash and its pilot?
Possible affiliation to IV./Jg53, at the same day Heinz Rohr was wounded through airfight with P-47 near Mühlhausen (Täle), 3km away from Gruibingen.

Best regards,
Alex

Alex, his loss is not listed in Dr. Prien's work on JG 53. The records for the period are very spotty as is to be expected. You sure of the date?

Hello John,

the only informationen about the death of Kurt Teger I got from a grave notification document from the Allied and German war graves commando from end of 1945.

So I am not sure if the date is correct. I also found no information in the local history books, therefore I think it was an accident. Because the cause of death is also marked as "Unfall / Accident"
