Hptm. Hans-Karl Kamp, III./NJG 4
Hi!
Hauptmann Hans-Karl Kamp, 21 victories. 3./ZG 76 (two victories recorded in Norway), III./NJG 1, Staffelkapitän 7./NJG 4 and Gruppenkommandeur of III./NJG 4 and fallen on the 31.12.1944. Could anyone perhaps help me out with more information regarding Hauptmann Kamp? Was he killed in action? When and where was he born? Does anyone perhaps have a picture of him somewhere? I have one from the Bundesarchiv of his plane but that is it I am afraid. Grateful for all the help I can get! |

Adding to my own post:
Hauptmann Kamp was born 1.9.1918 in Essen and was indeed killed in action on 31.12.1944, shot down by a P-51 Mustang. He is burried in Hannover-Seelhorst. |

Re: Hptm. Hans-Karl Kamp, III./NJG 4
Just a note to his Hudson claim on 11-Jun-40 - per Shores, Fledgling Eagles, p.347 he was flying a Bf 110 coded 'M8+HH'.
