Re: Hs129B-2 of 13.(Pz.)/SG 9, 22.Januar 1945, Fl.Pl. Tondorf
This photo of WNr.141537 and two others, from the Kulikov collection, appear in Luftwaffe im Focus 17, pp46-47. The location is given as Tondorf airfield, 50km NE of Posen. Dense fog prevented takeoff, and with Soviet tanks approaching, the decision to destroy the ten Hs 129B-2 and three Hs 129B-3s was made.
Hope this helps, GRM |

Re: Aircraft HS-129 Januar 1945 (see: photo-link)???
Hs129B-2 of 13.(Pz.)/SG 9, 22.Januar 1945, Fl.Pl. Tondorf
Big Thanks Morrison ! - you have right. I have found this on the net: Hs.129B-2 Unit: 13.(Pz)/SG 9 Serial: ??+TQ (W.Nr.141537) Pilot - Oberleutnant Bartel. It was destroyed by own ground personnel. Wargowitz (Torndorf) airfield (Poznan region) 22 January 1945. I think correct name of airfield was: German: Tonndorf , Polish: Bednary .....GPS: N52 32 05 E17 14 00..... Second side the same aircraft !!! http://vif2ne.ru/rkka/forum/files/An...)_he129_07.JPG http://vif2ne.ru/rkka/forum/files/An...)_he129_06.JPG Colour model simulation: http://img.wp.scn.ru/camms/ar/313/pics/2_21.jpg Source: 'Trophies of air combats 1941-1945', Frontline Illustration, 2001., No.6 BR , Kris Last edited by KrisJG3; 14th November 2012 at 20:53. |
