21 April 1944, Ramrod 763. Which units ?

Hi,

On 21 april 1944, 2nd TAF is as fighter cover for Ramrod 763 over noball targets from 1050 to 1300. Bombers were four boxes of each 36 Marauders over Siracourt (2 distinctives), Croisette and Bonnières.

Air 25/194 does not give the units of these Marauders. Does anybody know which ones I suspect they were from 9 AF ?

TIA

Bertrand

Hi Bertrand

Still enjoying Spain?

RAF Marauder usage was restricted to the Desert Air Force, those involved in Ramrod 763 would be 9AF as you suspected.

If Steve Brew is reading this he might have the relevant units as 41 Squadron escorted USAAF Marauders on numerous occasions on Noball missions.
