Damaged Aircraft Collected on 18 August 1940 - Any Information Please?
“18.8.40 The Undermentioned Aircraft were reported crashed, Crash Inspectors were sent, and Crash Parties were dispatched to salve”
Spitfire N3245 at Manston Hurricane L1578 at Gravesend Hurricane P3601 at Tangmere Hurricane P3623 at Tangmere Hurricane P3522 at Tangmere Spitfire L1942 at Sellinge Kent Spitfire R7019 at Maidstone Blenheim L6774 at Middle Wallop Hurricane R4101 at Folkstone Spitfire X4030 at Manston Blenheim L6608 at Manston Hurricane 7568 Near Walmer, Kent [no letter to serial number] I have found information for about half the list of aircraft salvaged, traced to a Squadron, a date of incident and a Pilot. Any help with the others above please, along with the information source? Mark
