Fw. Joachim Steinkamp, III./JG 54, 1944-45
Hallo,
Could anyone please tell me anything about this fighter pilot ? He claimed two aerial victories on 29 December 1944 against 401 Squadron RCAF. I have Axel Urbanke's magnificent 'GREEN HEARTS - first in combat with the Dora 9'. From this I know Steinkamp flew in Normandy and survived the war. Specifically were the above two victories his only aerial claims during World War 2 ? Regards, Martin Gleeson. |
