kaki3152 is an unknown quantity at this point
Is this Heinz Baer?

Ongoing thread at US Army Air Foce Website attempting to identify a photograph

In my mind, the person standing looking at the 4 USAAF POWs is Heinz Baer, wearing a captured leather jacket. Do others concurr?

Re: Is this Heinz Baer?

German cap would have a lining and at least a part of the eagle would be visible in this view. I think its an American cap the man is wearing so a crew member would be obvious
(German personal would have worn there shoulder insignia, and leather jackets would not be issued but "acquired" but still have the fore mentioned insignia )
