LG 1 on 26-12-44

From Nick's ghostbombers updates and AD(I)K reports I have some details of LG 1 losses this night any help filling in the gaps appreciated:-

1. Crew listing for L1+AB Hpt Panneborg

2. crew listing for L1+EH Ofhr Lewer

3. Werk nummer for L1+CH of Ltn Walter Schimdt the K report gives his a/c as a Ju88 A-4

4. First names of Ginsburg, Knecht and Schuster from the crew of Ltn Heinrich Schmidt and a/c werk nummer and code if known ( K report gives L1+?N). While Schimdt became a POW did his crew return to unit after baling out ?

One final question is there a known Ju87 loss to link to a claim by S/L Green and F/L Oxby of 219 Sqd. who claimed one south of Huy on 26/27th (MosquitPanik page 225),

Thanks

Re: LG 1 on 26-12-44

Here's what I have. Ed, I'd be curious as to the other source which gives WNr. 330978 for Pannenborg's machine since WNr. 330976 is reported for his and the Heinrich Schmidt loss. That might solve the dup WNr. issue.

Re: LG 1 on 26-12-44

Jim, Have some of 1944 stuff undone & unrececked (may have missed out on two there), but some of my "info" were put into a crude list, first about 17 years ago - before I really began writing/researching the Ju 88 as a whole - In pre-internet days, everybody was copying from others (only few doing new research) - So might come from some odd book or magazine. Taghons book for this period, for example I have not compared to other sources (such as K reports, Ultra or GQM/NVM) but RT post (abowe) mentions Nick (Beale?) if so then might be mentioned in Ghost-Bombers and/or Ultra?

Re: LG 1 on 26-12-44

I am afraid but I cannot confirm if Panneborg crew is still missing; perhaps, as his 'dog-tag' was found during a dig, along with little bits of aircraft and ... a 50 kg bomb.

Interesting to explore others crashes as some were lost in Namur area.
