Need photos for profile work on Bf110s flown by Oblt Gordon Gollob with 3./ZG76 in 1939-40

Hello,

I'm trying to locate information on the Bf110s flown by Oblt. Gordon Gollob, who apparently served with 1./ZG76 during the Polish Campaign (other sources say 3 Staffel by May, 1939), then by December, 1939 was flying with 3./ZG76. When Hptm Joseph Gutmann, the 3 StaKap was killed on 08.04.40, Gollob took over as StaKap and continued to lead 3 Staffel through early Sept., 1940 when the unit became II./NJG1. He ended his service with ZG76 with a total of 5 victories.

I'm hoping to be able to do at least one color profile of his a/c while StaKap of 3./ZG76, as he would have probably flown at least one Bf110C and eventually a Bf110D-0 during the July-August, 1940, period with either a built in Dankelbauch belly gas tank, or attached gas tanks suspended below the wings. It would have been in a Bf110D-0 that he scored his final victory with the unit on 15.08.40, possibly flying an aircraft coded M8+AL.

Who has photos or info that would provide unit insignia, unit codes and/or W.Nr. for any a/c Gollob flew with I./ZG76 during 1939-40? I particularly need a photo of the victory tally on the tail fin of his a/c, hopefully showing this after he achieved his 5th victory.

Who can help?

Regards,

Surely you mean Gollob? Although I contacted him he appears not to have been that photogenic with ZG 76

Chris,

Yes, I did mean Gollob. Thanx for correcting me. I've edited the post to correct this error.
