Stirling recovery at Schwanheim/Germany

On Saturday, 16. April 2011 we will recover the remains of a Short "Stirling (No 75 Sqn) that crashed 5./6. September 1943.

Hello,

tomorrow, May 13., 2012 we will have a ceremony at the crashsite at Schwanheim. Seventeen familymembers of the crew are here from New Zealand, Australia, England and France. There will be a memorial at the crashsite. The ceremony starts 14.00 o`clock.

Well done guys, great work by the looks of it.

I found it very hard to find any information on the website however, I take it from a newspaper article found elsewhere that its Stirling 75 Squadron: Stirling Bomber, EE893 (JN-N)

Think about including the aircraft serial number EE893 in communications as its a useful search term for google for example.

Just click start, then right hand side of page excavations, then the stirling is under bombers, 4th one down, just click red arrow, to access the page.

That is for Stirling W7469, wrong date Jerry.
Excavated in 1997.
