Re: More information

Thanks. I posted the faith of Bergmann, Wilhelm in another thread. Baierle is not the Baier Josef we are talking about.
Thanks already for your response.

Beautiful information - didn't know, thanks! He crashed in a forest in the area of Karlsbad. I have a photograph from the crashsite, almost nothing of his plane left.

Thanks for your response.

Re: More information

Hi Matti,

Concerning this one:
1944-06-14, 1./KG 54, Ju 88A-4, 300237, B3+IH, Ornemündung, Unbekannt. Bruch 100 %.
Flugzeugführer Uffz Elsner, Walter, vermißt

Are you sure the code was B3+IH? According to Radtke it was B3+JH.

Regards,
Rudi.

Re: More information

You can never be sure, if you have not seen a picture of the aircraft. Because the Germans had that nasty habit to use sometimes "J" instead a capital "I", the documents can be misleading. Maybe somebody can prove the code either way.

Matti
