Heinz Baer's near death Experience in Tunisia
On (approximately) March 24,1943 Heinz Baer had a near death expereince when he was attcked by two Spitfires while on a solo sortie. They harried him over Fatnassa until he could get away. This is well detailed in JG-77 (Vol. 3) p.1489-1490 by Prien.
Has anyone been able to identify the Spitfire unit which nearly downed Baer? |

Maybe among 92, 145 or 601 Squadrons on Allied and Soviet Air Forces ?

Thanks Thierry, it's a long shot, thought maybe someone would be able to pinpoint a squadron.
