Source of Luftwaffe 1811 wins of 22.06.1941

From what source it comes from the size of 1811 Luftwaffe wins of June 22, 1941?

In the book CAJUS BEKKER, ANGRIFFSHÖHE 4000, in 1964 this figure is given. But unfortunately he did not give his source for this information.

1,811
victories, including 322 in the air and next 1489 on the ground.

Regards,
mw

Re: Source of Luftwaffe 1811 wins of 22.06.1941

Hello,

The special Wehrmachtbericht of 29.06. reported both numbers:
322 losses in the air due to Fighters and Flak and 1.811 total Soviet losses until the evening of the 22nd. 2.582 total losses until the evening of the 23rd and 4.107 destroyed planes between 22nd and 27th June.

Re: Source of Luftwaffe 1811 wins of 22.06.1941

Great thanks, for this info. I expected that it was war data, but think about Adler or similar mass public magazine, and a litttle bit later not so soon, :-)

Anyway 322 victories claimes by flak and jager, had "forgotten" Rumanian input to the success of this days. Rumanina had claimed about next 100 victories /destroyed on the ground on 22.06.41 plus next 8 air victories.

Regards

In addition to Mirek's question, I might also ask about Herrman Goering's 'investigation of the uftwaffe's initial claims for 22 June. When was the investigation completed, on what date ?

It is interested if it was in fact?

Some airfields were captured a few days later after 22.06.41
Information was just edited on 29.06.41.

There were about 50-70 such places near border, up to 100 km.

Wilno was captured on 24.06.41, Riga, Mitava, Dwinsk later.

Well, what I am suspecting is that they counted aircraft on all the airfields they captured during the period of their investigation, not just the ones they attacked on 22 June.

Just by chance I came across an answer for you question, this comes from Horst Boog's article in the "Das Deutsche Reich und das Zweite Weltkrieg" (english edition) page 764 note 750: "On Soviet Losses cf. situation reports, Ob.d.L./Fu.Stab Ic, Nos. 654-661 24 June-1 July 1941, BA-MA RL 2 III/713".

Hope this answers your question
