Bf109E compass question
Hello all,
Calling all technical people out there, does anyone know if the BF109E-7 variant was ever fitted with a Gyro Mutterkompass ( master compass ). I have relics apparently from a 1940 E-7 that includes a piece of a Mutterkompass, I'm a bit confused as I thought it was only the later variants F and G that had them. Many thanks |

Re: Bf109E compass question
I have not heard of the Fuhrertochterkompass being used in the Me109E...as far as I knew it was only the magnetic compass...
As the F and G were being introduced, some units continued to use the E, even until war's end. So it is possible they were retrofitted, I suppose... ![]() Mike |
