Re: A few photos 10-17
Great finds, Ed, many thanks!
Wish I would know where those Ju 88 G-1 and Fw 190 F-8 were found. Of interest is the fact that the trees are without leaves... Winter 1945 - 1946? Cheers Marc Last edited by Marc-André Haldimann; 18th October 2013 at 12:03. |

Re: A few photos 10-17
@ edwest,
very rare and interesting pictures indeed and i am joining Marc-André: thanks for these. Of special note may be the He 111 (last link) with that very small unit code "1H" (KG 26) left of the Balkenkreuz on the fuselage. Horrido Norbert

Re: A few photos 10-17
Hello Neil,
Definitely a Bf109G-2 (Octane triangle over the number does indicate a Gustav. Small tail Wheel ... big chance to be a G-2) Neil. JG 54 most probably. 1942 ... Need somebody to check the right Prien volume to count the scoreboard, if available. Problem 'cause it was very fast ... Chris did suggest 8+9, and 8 for 8.Staffel ? Nice try!! But I cannot see any wave on photo. So, yes 10467 Cheers, Franck. |
