Night crash 06/15/44

Hello,

According to the testimony of a resident who lived near the airfield of "Valence-la-Trésorerie" (Albert Mougin, testimony of 07/07/1952), a major crash would have occurred on the airfield after midnight August 15, 1944 and a few hours before sunrise. We know that a raid of 6./KG 26 left the day before for Normandy. Do you know more about this accident ? (number of planes, crews, etc).

Thanks.
