Loss of a Klemm 35 in Croatia

Hello,

I'm looking for the loss details of this Klemm 35 that occured according to the photoalbum inscription, in summer 1941 somewhere in Croatia. I am assuming that the Klemm 35 belonged to A/B 123.
The pilot was killed in the accident/crash, but so far I wasn't able to decipher his name.
Has anyone more on this loss?

Tomislav,

This was a Kl 35B WNr. 4121 KB+NF of FFS A/B 123. It crashed on 18.09.41 at Agram due to pilot error (I assume collidied with something very solid during take off or landing), Uffz. Herbert Hartlage died in the weckage.

Re: Loss of a Klemm 35 in Croatia

Merlin,

I was intrigued and very appreciative of your posting concerning the Kl 35 mishap at Agram, Croatia, on 18.09.41. You provided helpful detailed info, but I wonder if you would be willing to share the primary source(s) from which your information came. I initially tried to find the incident reported in noncombat losses listed in the LwGQM 6. Abt Sch. usw., but searching the records for more than a month after 18.09.41 revealed no entry. In nowise do I doubt your facts, but I do wonder whence they came.

I had the same info (GQM give it as a Kl 25, maybe a typo) in Schulen und sonstige Verbände.... (Student Flg. Clemens Knobloch was wounded in the accident)

Thank you, Rasmussen! I seldom visit the LBB and have never seen its abbreviation. But now I've joined and am looking forward to more visits to a new site.
