Great BoB film downloads

At http://video.aviacia.ru/WWII/ I downloaded some wonderful aerial clips.

This: dbw.avi (77.43 Mb) ПосмотретьЗагрузить (download is the right-hand underlined section)is a moving Battle of Britain film sequence that I’ve never seen before –the production values are Hollywood quality, but I’ve never seen or heard of it before. Does anyone know what film this is from? And what is that stirring heavy metal soundtrack?

The second: ih_8_nas_2.avi (22.78 Mb) Посмотреть Загрузить (download is the right-hand underlined section) recapitulates the Battle of Britain scenes from the 2001 film Pearl Harbor. The only problem is that the dogfight scenes seem to have been spliced together somewhat out of sequence and there is a ridiculous Russian sounding soundtrack in the background –any explanations?

Thanx as always

Rob Romero

very appropriate as Iron maiden is an English band and "Aces High" was about (I believe) the Battle of Britain.

sure it was about the BoB....It also had footage from BoB movie as videoclip...showing also on concerts...I love these lyrics...

There goes the siren that warns of the air raid
Then comes the sound of the guns sending flak
Out for the scramble we’ve got to get airborne
Got to get up for the coming attack.

Jump in the cockpit and start up the engines
Remove all the wheelblocks there’s no time to waste
Gathering speed as we head down the runway
Gotta get airborne before it’s too late.

Running, scrambling, flying
Rolling, turning, diving, going in again
Run, live to fly, fly to live, do or die
Run, live to fly, fly to live. aces high.

Move in to fire at the mainstream of bombers
Let off a sharp burst and then turn away
Roll over, spin round and come in behind them
Move to their blindsides and firing again.

Bandits at 8 o’clock move in behind us
Ten me-109’s out of the sun
Ascending and turning our spitfires to face them
Heading straight for them I press down my guns

Rolling, turning, diving
Rolling, turning, diving, going in again
Run, live to fly, fly to live, do or die
Run, live to fly, fly to live, aces high.

Thanks for posting the lyrics, I didn't have them handy.

Yes, they are good lyrics too.
